Meine Meinung:

Nachdem mir "The Bookish Life of Nina Hill" so gut gefallen hat, wollte ich gleich mehr von Abbi Waxman lesen. Und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. "Other People's Houses" ist eine turbulente Geschichte, bei der es um vier benachbarte Familien geht, allerdings nicht gerade jugendfrei. Die Perspektive wechselt ständig zwischen den Müttern, Vätern und Kindern. Der Alltag ist sehr realistisch dargestellt. Die vielen verschiedenen Perspektiven sind sehr interessant, besonders die unterschiedlichen Ansichten der Männer haben mich teilweise wirklich überrascht. Mir hat das Buch sehr gefallen, ich habe gelacht und mit gelitten, dabei einige Denkanstöße bekommen.
