Meine Meinung:

Manche Witze waren vielleicht in der Pandemie lustig. Andere verstehe ich nicht, vermutlich weil ich den Klassiker nicht gelesen habe, auf den sie sich beziehen. Aber viele sind wirklich umwerfend komisch. Ich habe das Buch im Wartezimmer beim Arzt gelesen und wurde immer wieder neugierig von anderen Wartenden beäugt, weil ich ständig gekichert habe. Als ich aufgerufen wurde, hat sich die MTA entschuldigt, dass ich so lange warten musste. Ich habe breit gegrinst und gesagt, dass ich das gar nicht gemerkt habe, weil ich ein lustiges Comicbuch gelesen habe. Sie guckte daraufhin etwas irritiert. Scheint nicht so oft zu passieren. Dabei soll doch Humor die beste Medizin sein. Ich wäre dafür, dass in Wartezimmern statt der üblichen Zeitschriften, die darauf abzielen, dass Frauen sich selbst hässlich finden und als Abhilfe viel Geld ausgeben, lieber solche Bücher liegen sollten.

Das Buch ist auf deutsch unter dem Titel "Die Rache der Bücher" erschienen. Aber wenn das schon im Titel so schlampig übersetzt ist, sollte man wirklich besser das Original lesen.
